3-D Wheels is a new start up company that is launching a new range of luxury automobile wheels - 3-D Wheels. We spoke with their founder and CEO Richard Birnbaum to find out more about the company and their aspirations.

What is your full name?

Richard W. Birnbaum Jr., but my friends call me Mouse.

Why?

I’m 5’4”, shaved head, and lots of tats, Mouse is short for Mighty Mouse.

How old are you? 32

When were you established?

We became a corporation earlier this year, in March. This interview should actually be good for the readers because we are a brand new company, and they can track us to see how far we’ve gone since this interview to publishing, and through the next few years of growth.

How big are you now?

Our main core is six employees. Later we will need to hire some more warehouse help for shipping, but six of us actually run the company.

What is the website for your company?

3-DWheels.com - If you looked at the website today, you would see an under construction sign, but it will be finished over the next couple of weeks. We are building a new site to help our customers better understand us as a company, and the products we offer.

Do you have a company statement or motto you live by?

Yes, and it’s something I think about in my business and personal life. It goes like this, “No one has the power to go back and make a brand new start; but everyone can start from today and make a brand new ending.”

So briefly describe your company to us?

We design, manufacture, and market luxury automobile wheels. We’ve combined intensive market research, with world class design and engineering, to create an innovative wheel like no other in the market today.

Over the past 50 years, the world has seen automobile wheels as one circle with thousands of different designs. A few years ago, spinning wheels came to the market as a big hit, but as time will tell with any product, they have a very short life span, around 9-18 months. It’s kind of like this: When we look at automobile wheels, we see a flat circle with a certain, 1-Dimensional, flat design. Spinning wheels came in and attached a flat attachment to a flat designed wheel, but they don’t last because of the engineering. That’s why we see one of the wheels spinning nice and pretty, and the other wheel looks like it’s going to fly off and break; wobbling back and forth. What we did is combine the two, crossing bars and intertwining them so to speak, giving the illusion of a 3-Dimensional product. Remember when we were kids and put on the red and blue glasses looking at 3-D comic books or movies? We saw images coming at us, and going away from us, that’s how our wheels look. With a solid, non spinning attachment, our wheels will last for many years to come. Giving the automobile wheel industry something it’s never seen before. A 3-Dimensional designed luxury automobile wheel.
