Since then they have expanded their website and provide a haven for students. They are run completely by college students for college students.

To have a successful network of content driven websites, backed up by a profitable ecommerce division which allows us to effectively monetize our traffic.

 

What you sell / services you offer (brief description of your company):

Check out our websites and you'll get the idea. We sell t-shirts, novelties, and also run several content driven websites including CollegeHumor.com, the largest humor site on the internet.

 

Have you always wanted to run your own business? What were some of your previous jobs / companies?

Yes, this was my first company.

 

Have you got any qualifications? Please tell us about yourself academically?

I wasn't a very good student in College, partially because I started this company when I was a freshman, and it was instantly more important to me then academics.

 

How / when did the idea of your website / company come about?
 

It was the height of the dot-com boom and I felt that there was a lot of potential in making a funny website that would attract a lot of visitors and would allow us to profit from advertisers.

 

If you could give readers of this book one piece of advice what would it be?

If you have a good idea, you have to follow through with it.  If you don't, you will never stop kicking yourself down the road, and you will also never stop working for someone else.
