Pacific West Moving was designed to provide reliable, affordable and professional moving services to residential customers. We provide a niche market filling the gap for individuals who cannot physically move themselves and those who do not want to hire a full service moving company.

What you sell / services you offer (brief description of your company):

Pacific West Moving offers loading/unloading services as well as drivers. If a customer rents a truck such as Uhaul, Penske, etc. we can load and unload it or drive it anywhere in the country.

Have you always wanted to run your own business?

What were some of your previous jobs / companies? I certainly have! This was my first real venture although I had attempted some eBay selling. My parents and relatives all own their own businesses. My parents actually owned a very successful and widely known company called Discovery Zone.

You may remember it was a child play place until Chucky Cheese conducted a hostile takeover.

Have you got any qualifications? Please tell us about yourself academically?

I have no educational qualifications aside from a high school diploma. I tried college briefly and found that the business classes were either too boring or too easy. I felt like I needed a real challenge so I decided to do open my own business. Academically I still take online courses every now and then when I feel I need to understand something better. I am currently taking an online accounting class because I feel book keeping is something I am not great at.

How / when did the idea of your website / company come about?

To be perfectly honest, I do not remember how Pacific West came about. I remember helping a neighbor move, and then someone else asked me for help. I noticed there were a lot of rental trucks at individual homes, but no services to help people move. So I decided to start my own, and it worked!
