Your company / website vision statement / goal:
Help shoppers quickly find
the right product or service, from the right merchant, at the best
price.
What you sell / services you offer (brief description of your
company):
We help shoppers comparison
shop for millions of products from thousands of merchants across 20
different product and service channels including consumer
electronics, computers, music, books, games, toys, apparel, jewelry
even automobiles and mortgages. When a shopper finds the desired
product and the merchant of choice we refer the shopper to the

together.
Have you always wanted to run your own business? What were some of
your previous jobs / companies?
Beyond leading and running
an organization, I have always aspired to start businesses on my own
or in partnership with others. Prior to PriceGrabber I was President
and CEO of a
US subsidiary of Thales
Group. I built the company, which provides software development and
system integration services for transportation and energy
applications, from a near start-up into a market leader prior to
selling it to a third-party.
Prior to that I held
various management and engineering positions in information
technology in the defense and energy sectors and had also founded
companies in partnership with others.
Have you got any qualifications? Please tell us about yourself
academically?
I have a Master’s of
Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the
University of
Colorado.
How / when did the idea of your website / company come about?
The idea was developed and
refined by a few of the founders very early in 1999. We believed
that the Internet provided the opportunity to significantly improve
the quality, efficiency and speed of comparison shopping.
